I listen to you talking all day long,
I listen without making a sound.
I listen to you kill that wonderful song,
I listen to that voice you think you’ve found.
Sound frustrates me and bothers me and it
Irritates my sensitive ears.
I can’t find the mute button, I wish I could
I wish I could shut it all out! I really do!
Oh the tears; They flow so readily down my cheeks.
I can’t take this anymore, I really can’t!
There’s too much noise, there’s too much talk.
The voices in my head, they just won’t stop!
All I want to do is hide in a soundproof cardboard box.
Far, far away from the talking animals,
And the squawking animals, too
Actually, away from anything that makes the slightest sound.
Someplace where the only sound I can hear is my heart’s
That sound, now that sound is true.
But soon I’ll grow tired of that too,
I’ll wish that sound be gone,
I’ll hope my heart skips all its beats,
Extreme volume control. So long!

The Irritating Few
You take what’s mine
I give you more
I thought it was fine
Now I’m not too sure
Why is it so hard to see?
The true worth of what you get
Why is it so hard to be?
Somebody that I’m glad I met
Do you feel challenged by me?
I think you do
I don’t know why
But is it true?
It doesn’t have to be this difficult
It’s easier if you stay the way you were
If only you would. But you won’t, I know
It’s unfortunate how things go wrong
And all you can do is watch…
Disappointing, yes, but it’s true
You’re just a part of the irritating few…
I give you more
I thought it was fine
Now I’m not too sure
Why is it so hard to see?
The true worth of what you get
Why is it so hard to be?
Somebody that I’m glad I met
Do you feel challenged by me?
I think you do

Butterflies in the Sea
The floorboards are creaking,
The windows are leaking,
There are butterflies sailing the sea.
The rain goes pitter patter
Annoying noise on a platter
Spledoosh! A puddle
Warm comforter. Cuddle
Hot chocolate? For me!
A book. Sure, throw one in
What's up? The ceiling fan
I see.
Paperboats in the puddle
Muddy water puddle
Muddy paperboats
Puddle's paperboats.
Floating on.
In this feel good weather
Lovely. Truly awesome!
You didn't know whether
You'd like this
Or not.
So the floorboards are creaking,
And the windows are leaking,
Oh just let this be!
After all, there are butterflies sailing the sea.
The windows are leaking,
There are butterflies sailing the sea.
The rain goes pitter patter
Annoying noise on a platter
Spledoosh! A puddle
Warm comforter. Cuddle
Hot chocolate? For me!

Lesser Than 4
It's greater than something that's lesser than three,
It's something that's lesser than four.
But be careful;
It's not equal to, but greater than three...
Then again, it's not greater than four.
<3. A heart;
90 degrees off, but that's alright!
It's so pretty, you think.
So apt, so nice...
But yeah, just in case you want to say more;
Simple, real simple.
Use <4!
It's something that's lesser than four.
But be careful;
It's not equal to, but greater than three...
Then again, it's not greater than four.

The Path
Rain is good,
Gloom is good.
Sadness brings happiness.
Sadness makes you better.
Gloom makes you look within,
Shade is the answer.
Shade gives you shelter,
Reality brings sadness,
Rain makes you take shelter.
Reality makes you better.
Sadness makes you wonder.
And happiness awaits...
Gloom is good.
Sadness brings happiness.
Sadness makes you better.
Gloom makes you look within,
Shade is the answer.
Shade gives you shelter,
Reality brings sadness,
Rain makes you take shelter.
Reality makes you better.
Sadness makes you wonder.
And happiness awaits...

It's All In My Head
Vertigo, vert-ego, you spin me around,
Vertigo, vert-ego, you scream, but I make no sound.
Vertigo, vert-ego, you scream, but I make no sound.
Vertigo. vert-ego, you make me all mean.
Vertigo, vert-ego, you're for the most part, unseen.
Vertigo, vert-ego, it's all in my head,
Vertigo, vert-ego, soon I'll be dead.
Vertigo, vert-ego, but will you let me die?
Vertigo, vert-ego, soon I'll be dead.
Vertigo, vert-ego, but will you let me die?
Vertigo, vert-ego, it's definitely worth a try...
But vert-ego, green-ego, will you leave then?
But vert-ego, green-ego, will you leave then?

The Wonderful World
The world is but a big, chunky globe,
Or geoid, call it what you may!
But there's more to the world than meets the eye,
So there's a lot more on your tray
Than you see, but I don't blame you, it's only natural,
To not notice things that take some figuring out.
Make you think, get you frustrated,
Make you smile, and even bum you out.
But think of it slowly, break it into little pieces...
Figure them out, piece it all together,
It makes a jigsaw worth solving, it does!
And you see things as they are, as they were, and will be..
And you realize that you're not alone!
You'll realize you're not alone at all,
In this wonderful, wonderful world!

And you see things as they are, as they were, and will be..
And you realize that you're not alone!
You'll realize you're not alone at all,
In this wonderful, wonderful world!
The Next Port
It's been so much fun just being around,
The memories, the thrills, and our crew.
I guess it's time to head to new ground
The sails are full. We move!
An eventful stay at the Pirate King's bay,
It's the most amazing place you'll ever see...
The most wonderful thing in the world I must say,
The best place that you'll ever be.
I don't want to remember the tavern. Last night's,
Rum is still making me swim
I see the sun over the ocean blue, bright...
Last night was so sober and grim.
That fight I picked with that peg-legged man,
I really think I hurt him too much,
He was the Pirate King, but how could I know?
Surprisingly it took only one touch!
The memories, the thrills, and our crew.
I guess it's time to head to new ground
The sails are full. We move!
An eventful stay at the Pirate King's bay,
It's the most amazing place you'll ever see...

I really think I hurt him too much,

Surprisingly it took only one touch!
Oh well, moving on, it was a weird little thing,
That seems funny in its own funny way.
The tale of my luck will be in the songs I will sing,
But in the meantime, there's something that I have to say.
You might jump ports, but yes, it is true,
Some places mean more, and it will hurt
To leave them behind, but the journey must happen,
So don't worry...
There's always the next port!

Okay!
I scanned my friends, far and near,
I knew I'd spot you soon...
I knew I'd see you, see you here, and then
I knew I'd spot you soon...
I knew I'd see you, see you here, and then
I knew I'd never let you disappear.
I saw you walk past, and I refrained,
I didn't know what to say.
What would I say? Would it be okay?
I saw you walk past, and I refrained,
I didn't know what to say.
What would I say? Would it be okay?
I had no idea... I couldn't read you,
I truly had no idea, okay?
So I spent my time wondering whether
What I was doing was right,
I didn't budge, and you didn't either...
Was this some unimaginable spite?
I sat down on a little wall
And lost myself in thought...
As much as I did what I did,
I did feel a bit hurt, no, a lot.
Then I wandered around, as usual
Floating on till I found my place.
I was just getting bored when you flitted in,
Flitted in to take up my case.
So you came by, and vented away
And I countered, it was all so fast...
My fault? Your fault? Whose fault? I really don't know!
Let's just call it a truce, this fight's not going to last!
Now things are back to how they were,
With a bright, red cherry on top.
I'm glad I finally got here, although it took a while,
I truly had no idea, okay?
So I spent my time wondering whether
What I was doing was right,
I didn't budge, and you didn't either...
Was this some unimaginable spite?
I sat down on a little wall
And lost myself in thought...

Now things are back to how they were,
With a bright, red cherry on top.
I'm glad I finally got here, although it took a while,
Well, the weirdness just had to stop!
I really hope it gets better from here,
What will I do now? I don't know.
I really hope things get infinitely clear,
It's all going to be okay, I'm sure.
I really hope it gets better from here,
What will I do now? I don't know.
I really hope things get infinitely clear,
It's all going to be okay, I'm sure.

Andromeda Teflon
I look up at the sky, at night,
To me you're so far off.
You're there in plain sight, with the other stars
But you're just so far off!
You twinkle, twinkle, and I make a wish,
Oh my! it slips right off your shine.
I'm still sincere, you teflon dish!
I'll wish until I make you mine.
Wishbone? You? I think not,
I only wish 'cause it's worth a shot!
So that on some star-filled night, in retrospect,
There won't be anything that I'll regret.
Why don't you take a look around? You'll find
That everything else is real close.
Suddenly I seem far, it's a mutual thing,
But I'm curious; When was I ever close?
I guess bright stars are meant to be far,
Maybe that's just the way it is...
My constellation is just a star,
One beautiful star that I won't miss...
But Andromeda sparkle! I'm from the Milky Way,
And you're the one, the one I chose!
How special does that make you feel?
Awesome? Good? Bad? It's real!
While you ponder over thoughts at hand,
I'll stare up at the stars around,
Especially at you...
I will stay true.
To me you're so far off.
You're there in plain sight, with the other stars
But you're just so far off!
You twinkle, twinkle, and I make a wish,
Oh my! it slips right off your shine.

My Heart-Shaped Box
I could put all my feelings in a heart-shaped box, and I could throw it out at sea,
I could put my feelings away, I could pack them off, so well that you'll never see...
Deny those feelings that are always there, those feelings that never will be.
But just so you know, you're my heart-shaped box...
Now tell me,
Would I throw you out at sea?
I could put my feelings away, I could pack them off, so well that you'll never see...
Deny those feelings that are always there, those feelings that never will be.
But just so you know, you're my heart-shaped box...
Now tell me,
Would I throw you out at sea?

Observation
I see your eyes,
I see you draw,
I see you cry,
I'll watch you thaw.
I see your ring,
Your everything.
Then I see you smile,
It's worth my while.
I see these words,
I see them all.
I put these words
In lines so small.
I see this poem in my head,
Although I can't see where it's going.
I try to build on what I've said,
This, I find annoying.
I notice things that are hardly there,
But they are, so yeah.
Those little details; You don't care,
But I do, so ha!
I see you draw,
I see you cry,
I'll watch you thaw.
I see your ring,
Your everything.
Then I see you smile,
It's worth my while.
I see these words,
I see them all.

Sense?
Seeing is believing, but don't believe the truth.
I make sense to myself, but I doubt I will to you.
They say time tends to heal and that time tends to soothe,
Oh well, maybe it does; I sure hope it's true!
I sing a song of six pence, I live my life on two,
I could make you wish you weren't born but I've done that to few.
Where I am is a lonely place, it's not somewhere you'd want to be,
Where I am is a weird place, it's not someplace you'd want to see.
A few friends that I call mine,
I have many, infact.
I need them, use them, help them. They're mine,
Friends. Blood-oath. A pact.
I haven't made much sense till now,
I doubt I ever will.
The seeds of sorrow that I will sow,
I'm sure they're bound to kill.
I know that last line made no sense,
I'm not someone who cares.
If only you'd look at the world through my lens,
You'd see the ropes and snares.
Unpredictable? Random? Yes I am.
Get used to it. This is me.
"What's more?"- you ask. Yes ma'am,
There's a lot you're yet to see!
But I'm running out of things to say,
I'm human after all.
And I'm running out of games to play.
It's time, it's time to fall...
I make sense to myself, but I doubt I will to you.
They say time tends to heal and that time tends to soothe,
Oh well, maybe it does; I sure hope it's true!
I sing a song of six pence, I live my life on two,

Psychedelic, Jumpy
Set against a rainbow sky,
Splashed red and black, green and blue; yellow, violet, orange too!
Beautiful shades; in the foreground, a man.
He looked up at the sun, not that it could be seen
Praising his stars for what had just happened,
Followed by a cry of joy, spread across the sky,
A jump so high, happiness abound!
It lightened the mood of those around.
What happened then, nobody seems to know,
Well what made him happy? Find out, do try
And try it out yourself; trust me, it's nice!
Splashed red and black, green and blue; yellow, violet, orange too!
Beautiful shades; in the foreground, a man.
He looked up at the sun, not that it could be seen
Praising his stars for what had just happened,

Conceit
I am the one, all important for sure,
The one for which the sun shines,
And the moon sifts through the night sky
I am the motivation, the person who makes it all work,
Noone else matters, and for them I don't care...
Everything, the only thing that matters, is me
You saw that game here?, they played it for me,
They played it so that I, with my own two eyes could see,
They must've known that I wanted them to play,
Oh well, once they found out, they just had to, didn't they?
The people round me, 'course they knew who I was,
Of my greatness, my power; as I bossed them around,
Barked out my orders, in a cacophony of sound...
A few days this worked, I was happy
Then the all powerful me, I got a teensy bit snappy,
Then it came, the blow, on my head; Wham!
My conscience, my great mind, it swam,
In that blissful dreamland, where I was the only one,
The most important, the keystone; this deciding role was fun...
But alas!, I was dragged out of my deja vu,
Only to awaken in a sponge padded cube...
Ah, my hands were bound, in a straightjacket thing...
I read about them once, before my craze,
To be the one, the reason for all, overcame me,
Then it struck me, a moment, I knew where I was...
And then I took a quick look around,
I was alone, no other person, was this paradise I'd found?
I was the master here, only me,
I made no attempt to struggle or go free,
I knew this was what I wanted the most,
After I was done here, of this kingdom of mine I would boast...
The one for which the sun shines,
And the moon sifts through the night sky
I am the motivation, the person who makes it all work,
Noone else matters, and for them I don't care...
Everything, the only thing that matters, is me

Puppet Shell
He moves when he's moved,
He does as you please,
It's him in his crispy puppet shell...
The strings are his life,
Bound to them forever,
He lives without freedom or will. The bell
on his cap, it jingles in sync,
With his every tiny, measured out step...
To say the steps are his, a great wrong indeed,
After all, the puppet master authors them too,
In a great, masterful orchestration,
One that makes you believe they're his own..
Sadly, sadly, it's but the truth...
You're made to believe that it is though,
And his life goes on, in the hands of another
Weird indeed, this puppet existence
Infact, he finds it rather
painful, moving to tugs and pulls of his strings,
But what can he do?, the poor little thing..
Only his mind is his own, he can think,
No strings attached, freedom indeed!
All he can think is of how it would to be freed,
From these shackles of sorts, villainous strings,
His puppet shell into motion they bring..
His is a tale of bonded misery,
Where motive and emotion have no say,
He is, and will remain, a puppet shell,
A poor, plain puppet shell, till the end of his days..
He does as you please,
It's him in his crispy puppet shell...
The strings are his life,
Bound to them forever,
He lives without freedom or will. The bell
on his cap, it jingles in sync,
With his every tiny, measured out step...

Beautiful Child
This is a tale not meant for the faint of heart,
Disturbing, alas...
But one thing is made most cert,
All souls are bound to pass...
A slit of the throat, it had been quick,
Nothing brutal. Not slaughter...
Or so he thought, as he sped through woods thick,
Quickly, for he had murdered his daughter.
Under the light of the star-filled sky ,
He was a guilty man, He fled
A father, indeed, but his eyes stayed dry,
How could they?, His daughter was dead...
His frantic mind was brimming now,
With thoughts from times before...
He used to call her "Princess", Oh how
She came calling him "Papa!" through the door
Then the time he watched her first play,
And told her she acted well
It was hard for him to believe that today,
The curtains of her life had fallen..
The weekend trip they both went on,
Camping, out in the wild...
He realised, his heart felt it.
She was gone. Gone forever. His beautiful child...
In that final frenzy of blinding wrath,
His human nature revealed,
He set his razor-blade on his little girl,
And her destiny was sealed
What had she done to deserve this end?
This punishment of death...
The razor cut she couldn't fend,
That cut her short of breath
She had spoken to a stranger once,
An act for which he had her warned
And another time, through the fence,
When she thought his mind had calmed...
The third time it happened, t'was funny,
She had started calling the stranger "Honey"
Today had been the final straw,
They were kissing on the porch,
This was what he, the Father, saw
Every single touch...
As the twilight filtered through the shades,
The dying moments of the day...
He marched to his cupboard, the one with the blades,
Anger came to the fray...
The minute she stepped back in the house,
The razor-blade made haste,
A glint of steel, blood on her blouse
The act was done, with certain distaste
A flimsy reason, yes indeed,
No reason to take a life...
But when the anger inside swells up, freed,
It's bound to cause some strife...
All in the mind of a man who drove,
So steady, through the night,
Then suddenly, he pulled up, by a grove
Alone, the moon shone bright...
Everything seemed so painfully still,
Perception changed; the sorrow...
The rage that drove him to make the kill,
Would it see a tomorrow?
The tears started falling now,
They were rolling down his cheek
His wetted eyes, and through the dark
He saw the ravine, and the creek...
He knew that he could live no more.
A murderer at heart,
Child-killer, Demon parent, what not
He wanted this guilt to stop...
He took his steps to the edge,
Each one filled with remorse...
He looked around, and that was it,
He jumped, with nothing to break his fall,
A single scream. A single thud. Then not one sound
Nothing at all...
Disturbing, alas...
But one thing is made most cert,
All souls are bound to pass...
A slit of the throat, it had been quick,
Nothing brutal. Not slaughter...
Or so he thought, as he sped through woods thick,
Quickly, for he had murdered his daughter.

His frantic mind was brimming now,
With thoughts from times before...
He used to call her "Princess", Oh how
She came calling him "Papa!" through the door
Then the time he watched her first play,
And told her she acted well
It was hard for him to believe that today,
The curtains of her life had fallen..
The weekend trip they both went on,
Camping, out in the wild...
He realised, his heart felt it.
She was gone. Gone forever. His beautiful child...
In that final frenzy of blinding wrath,
His human nature revealed,
He set his razor-blade on his little girl,
And her destiny was sealed
What had she done to deserve this end?
This punishment of death...
The razor cut she couldn't fend,
That cut her short of breath
She had spoken to a stranger once,
An act for which he had her warned
And another time, through the fence,
When she thought his mind had calmed...
The third time it happened, t'was funny,
She had started calling the stranger "Honey"
Today had been the final straw,
They were kissing on the porch,
This was what he, the Father, saw
Every single touch...
As the twilight filtered through the shades,
The dying moments of the day...
He marched to his cupboard, the one with the blades,
Anger came to the fray...
The minute she stepped back in the house,
The razor-blade made haste,
A glint of steel, blood on her blouse
The act was done, with certain distaste
A flimsy reason, yes indeed,
No reason to take a life...
But when the anger inside swells up, freed,
It's bound to cause some strife...
All in the mind of a man who drove,
So steady, through the night,
Then suddenly, he pulled up, by a grove
Alone, the moon shone bright...
Everything seemed so painfully still,
Perception changed; the sorrow...
The rage that drove him to make the kill,
Would it see a tomorrow?
The tears started falling now,
They were rolling down his cheek
His wetted eyes, and through the dark
He saw the ravine, and the creek...
He knew that he could live no more.
A murderer at heart,
Child-killer, Demon parent, what not
He wanted this guilt to stop...
He took his steps to the edge,
Each one filled with remorse...
He looked around, and that was it,
He jumped, with nothing to break his fall,
A single scream. A single thud. Then not one sound
Nothing at all...

Coagulation of thought
You and I have grown apart
By a distance, of which I had never thought
I'm amazed, what could have caused this change?
Now looking back, it seems really strange
That all could be lost in such short a time
What do I say?- I'm spellbound
Who do I blame?- I should've turned around
Every day goes by, to say- I have nothing more,
Each day the same as the one before,
Beautiful, warm smiles are now wry
And I miss old times, now everything's dry
A sharp glance at what has passed
Good and bad... folded, into a time that's creased
What's happening?, I can't explain
What happened before will never remain
My mind reels when I think
Of how time can wound and heal,
My emotions; pushed to the brink
When I think of all the things time's had to steal
Innocent lives, wonderful people,
Opportunities; but like a pebble,
At the bottom of the sea, these hardly matter
In the vastness of time, they're but a stutter
Not all hope is lost, though sorrow prevails
A glimmer of light, through the hazy veils,
Of our future, mine and yours,
Descends as what keeps us going, unfaltered
A smile, a joy, a purity, unaltered
What do we live for?, I think we've got our answer
Our feelings, our mind, all the thought of our kind
We look at the light, and move onwards with all might,
And hold on to what we think is right
So trust me now, take my hand,
The distance between us time can mend
And we'll move on as all have before us
To brighter horizons where we can be the same
As we were before. Together, happy, and pure
By a distance, of which I had never thought
I'm amazed, what could have caused this change?
Now looking back, it seems really strange
That all could be lost in such short a time

Who do I blame?- I should've turned around

Stretching out
When the walls close in,
There's seemingly nothing you can do
Time is short, you don't smile with all thirty two,
All the work piled up, why didn't you foresee?
You think you're stuck, not really!
Everything's a blur, so set things straight
Stand where you are and chalk out your plan
Believe in yourself, believe you're right,
And go out there!, do whatever you can.
Do wipe off that sigh, it looks bad,
Put on a smile, oh that one's great!
Keep it on as long as you can
It's a real handy, rather useful trait!
Needless to say, its worth a shot;
After all you've got nothing to lose
In you're race against time, people; the whole lot
Nevertheless, upto you to choose!
And when you're done, just think a bit,
Of how you tried, and succeeded too;
Great going, indeed, but remember; you were in doubt,
Well, that's what you get for stretching things out!
There's seemingly nothing you can do
Time is short, you don't smile with all thirty two,
All the work piled up, why didn't you foresee?
You think you're stuck, not really!
Everything's a blur, so set things straight
